Medical Services for International Students
In Poland, you can be treated in state medical centres or private medical centres. To take advantage of free medical services in state medical centres, you should have insurance at the National Health Fund (NFZ). The cost of NFZ for a foreign student is 55.80 zł / month.
-
International students under 18
International students under 18 should have a legal guardian to visit a doctor.

What should I do if I am not insured at NFZ?
If the student is not insured in the NFZ, he/she can use medical services according to his/her insurance regulations or go to private medical centres and pay for a visit. Students staying in Poland on the basis of a visa cannot use the state medical centres for free.
Most often, our students choose this option, but we still advise you to weigh all the pros and cons by reading the NFZ insurance.
