Study description

Creative Management is a major that combines knowledge in the field of management, new technologies and personal development. This course is for people who want to learn creative methods of managing innovative projects and are looking for new techniques and tools used in marketing.

The study program focuses on the use of the Design Thinking method, teamwork based on creative problem solving and the search for innovative ideas for products and services. Many classes are conducted by business practitioners who share their experience and competences, with the help of which you can learn about real problems and specific business solutions.

We will teach you how to use the tools and methods that are used in the daily practice of companies. You will see fascinating, practical aspects of the use of knowledge and meet interesting, creative, people who think outside the box!

She conducts didactics primarily in the field of operational systems and spatial information systems. Research interests concentrate on the use of information technology and popularization of knowledge and common sense. Author of several dozen scientific and popular science articles on the use of information technology, primarily in agricultural engineering, and co-author of the monograph on meat cattle breeding. Head of the national project on the use of aero laps in monitoring grassland, contractor in European projects concerning the development of the data exchange standard (agriXchange) and applications of Internet solutions of the Future (FIware technology) in the creation of smart applications for the agri-food sector.     expandHe defended his PhD thesis on the analysis of a complex acoustic signal with the use of neural networks in 2008. His scientific interests include issues related to artificial intelligence, neural networks and their practical use as well as the effective use of modern information technologies. In the years 2001-2013, the administrator of network and information systems, the coordinator for the security of networks and information systems (on behalf of the Rector) at Poznan University of Life Sciences. He also dealt with others designing solutions and administering server, network and access systems for the university.

    expandIn 1997 he graduated with honors from Poznan University of Technology, Faculty of Computer Science. He defended his doctorate in the field of “Real Time Systems” in 2000. Member of the Polish Information Technology Society and the American ACM (Association for Computer Machinery, USA). He is an enthusiast of the Business Model Canvas methodology. He was the mentor for startups during “IBM SmartCamp 2014” – IBM Global Entrepreneur program (Warsaw, Poland). His area of ​​interest is wide and includes primarily: Docker microservices, Microsoft.NET, C #, image processing and modern Internet and mobile applications (including IoT and Cloud applications). He participated in the creation of the human eye registration system of the Swedish company Permobil Meditech AB (Sundsvall, Sweden) and the audience viewing system produced by the German company MediaScore GmbH (Cologne, Germany). Currently, he is the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) in the German company Di Support GmbH (Frankfurt, Germany) and the Managing Director in the Polish software branch of this company.     expandThe dean’s representative for Game and Interactive Media Design at Collegium Da Vinci and lecturer at the Communication Design department at the School of Form in Poznań. Artistic director with many years of experience in the computer games industry in the United States. He worked, among others on the world’s hit games: Medal of Honor and Call of Duty. His experience and interests cover a wide range of game production, in particular: graphic art for games, organization of teamwork and production systems. He lectured and led the Game Art and Design department at the Art Institute in Los Angeles. His best students currently work in the most renowned computer game companies such as Bilzzard, Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Electronic Arts and CD Project Red.

    expandFor almost 30 years, I cooperated with an IT company, where I worked in managerial positions – Service Manager, Service Department Director, IT Services and Support Director. I created a network of 14 branches of the company and managed a team of 130 employees throughout the country. I am the author of many executive processes and procedures, resulting, among others,  from the guidelines of ISO 9001 and ISO 20000 standards and managed projects. I have made many changes in the department I manage and mapped the most important processes that are the basis of the company’s operation in the field of services. As a project manager, I have managed over 40 nationwide projects related to information technology.     Translation

    Please remember to translate your high school certificate if it is in any other languages than Polish, Ukrainian, English or Russian. Your educational documents must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator.

    Eligibility letter

    In some cases a Coordinator may ask you to provide an eligibility statement. This statement is a formal proof that your currently provided education documentation, allows you to continue higher education in the educational system in which it was issued.

    It can be issued by your high school, the Ministry of Education of the country or by the Polish Embassy from the country which issued your certificate.

    Some examples:

    a) graduated from Ukraine, it is enough for you to send a scan of the high school certificate and transcript of records;

    b) graduated from Belarus, you need to make an apostille for a high school certificate;

    c) graduated from Poland, it is enough for you to have świadectwo maturalne. It does not need to be legalized;

    d) graduated from Turkey, you need to make an apostille for a high school certificate and transcript of records; your documents have to be translated into Polish or English by a sworn translator.

    e) graduates from other countries have to contact the Coordinator admissions@cdv.pl to know the details.

    The minimum required level of language proficiency for admission is B1- Intermediate.

    You language proficiency can be confirmed in 2 options:

    Option 1: International English language certificate

    This can be a standart recognized language certificate e.g. EILTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, etc

    Option 2: English proficiency examination, consisting of two parts: written test and oral communication.

    The exam takes place online and consists of two stages:

    • written test, 40 minutes long (online, on the ZOOM platform with the camera turned on);
    • oral interview, lasting about 15 minutes (online, on the ZOOM platform).

    The date of the exam is assigned to you by the Coordinator, after registration and filling in the data on the site.

    You will receive an invitation to the exam to the e-mail address that you specified during registration. The results of the interview will be known within three working days.

    Insurance

    Please remember to obtain your insurance policy that will cover medical treatment costs incurred in the event of illness or accident while studying in Poland or an European Health Insurance Card. This document is important for your safe stay in Poland.

    Applicants with “place reservation” status receive an email from International Student Coordinator with booking details.

    Recognition of your educational documents

    Important! Once you come to Poland start the process of recognition of your certificate acquired with foreign education documents. Bring the decision of recognition to your coordinator not later than the end of the first study semester. The recognition of the high school certificate takes place in Kuratorium Oswiaty in Poznan.

    For the purpose of recognition, the student has to bring documents translated into Polish by a certified/sworn translator.

    Legal guardian for a minor

    Remember that for minors living in Poland without parents, it is very important to get a legal guardian.

    You gain your student status when the academic year begins. All the information concerning the class schedule, timetable, and fees will be available to you on the Wirtualna Uczelnia (Virtual University) website for students not earlier than 2 weeks before your classes.

    Your ID student card will be given to you on the Zero meeting in October. Please come to the first meeting stated in your schedule and you Deanery Coordinator will give it to you.

    Please remember that once you arrive in Poznan, you have to inform the Deanery Coordinator about your current residence address. This is an important source of communication with Deanary`s Office. Please send you new contact details on dziekanat@cdv.pl
