LecturerAbout Me
I hold a PhD in Humanities in the field of Art Studies. I am a historian, film scholar, and researcher of digital games, and an assistant professor at the Institute of Film, Media and Audiovisual Arts at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. My research interests include the history of film and digital games; audiovisual and digital manifestations of historical culture; philosophies of history in cinema; historical themes in video games; and the ways discourse on collective memory is constructed.
An important part of my professional activity is also devoted to media education and knowledge dissemination. As an author of educational materials and a scientific consultant, I have collaborated, among others, with Galapagos Films, the Education Team of the Multikino and Cinema 3D cinema networks, the National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute (FINA), Ferment Kolektiv, the Film w Szkole portal, the Film Educators Team (ZEF), the community cinema network “Kino za Rogiem”, and 11 bit studios (the “Games in Education” programme).
What Interests Me
Exploring Japanese digital games, Central and Eastern European cinema, science fiction literature (in every form possible), and Korean cuisine.
