Description

Information Technology at CDV is focused on acquiring practical skills, so you get only up-to-date knowledge and the latest solutions. We cooperate with many significant companies in the IT industry, including Trecom, Whalla Labs or Netguru. We educate IT specialists, people who create, develop, implement (apply) technologies on which the modern world is based. We educate specialists necessary on the market, but also conscious users, recipients of information technologies.

Why Information Technology?

  • Math and Physics classes are minimized

    We have limited mathematics and physics to the minimum necessary to understand IT issues.

  • Modules including modern technologies

    The program includes modules covering modern technologies, such as internet of things and cloud computing.

    The specialization of IT systems and infrastructure has been entirely developed in close consultation with engineers from TRECOM.

    The course includes Team projects and solving dually case studies.

  • Virtual work environments

    Exercises are carried out using, among others a virtual work environment that allows you to freely execute commands on operating systems.

  • Exercises using network equipment

    Exercises using network equipment allow you to configure, for example, packet transfer routes. Exercises with modern equipment and network technologies take place in the Trecom laboratory.

  • Free software

    As a CDV student you will get completely out of charge the latest Microsoft Office ProPlus 365

  • Additional subjects related to other courses

    We want our student to develop completely and according to their beliefs, thus apart from specialization, you can also choose additional subjects related to other courses that are available in Collegium Da Vinci e.g. e.g. Graphics, Mediaworking, Consulting and Coaching, Creative Management, Urban Management

  • 70% of practical classes

    70% of practical classes (workshops and computer labs) and are run by specialists from companies recognized in the IT industry (including Black Moon Design, B2 Internet, Whalla Labs)

  • A unique computer games laboratory

    A unique computer games laboratory with XBOX consoles, Kinect controllers and TV sets and computers equipped with the latest Unreal Engine 4.0 game programming engine.

expandA graduate of the University of Technology in the field of Computer Science. She defended her doctoral thesis with distinction in the field of computer science applied in agricultural sciences. For many years she worked in IT departments as a server or network administrator, implementor and trainer. She conducts didactics primarily in the field of operational systems and spatial information systems. Research interests concentrate on the use of information technology and popularization of knowledge and common sense. Author of several dozen scientific and popular science articles on the use of information technology, primarily in agricultural engineering, and co-author of the monograph on meat cattle breeding. Head of the national project on the use of aero laps in monitoring grassland, contractor in European projects concerning the development of the data exchange standard (agriXchange) and applications of Internet solutions of the Future (FIware technology) in the creation of smart applications for the agri-food sector. A member of the Polish Society of Spatial Information, the Polish Society of the Application of Information Technologies in Agriculture, Food and Forest Economy and the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering. Marked by the President of the Republic of Poland with the Bronze Medal for Long-Term Service. Initiator and producer of various social actions. Co-founder and co-editor of the cultural magazine ŌKŌ.

expandA graduate of Poznan University of Life Sciences: the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry. Specialization: information technology in engineering. In 2007 he defended his PhD thesis with honor on the topic “Neural identification of selected mechanical defects of kernels”.

expandScientific interests are focused on: artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks, image analysis, systems engineering and object-oriented programming.

expandAdditionally, he is a specialist in the field of personal data protection and protection of classified information. He has been connected with the university since 2003. He teaches Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Algorithms and Data Structures and Information Technology.

expandA graduate of Poznan University of Life Sciences: the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry. Specialization: information technology in Agricultural engineering.

expandHe defended his PhD thesis on the analysis of a complex acoustic signal with the use of neural networks in 2008. His scientific interests include issues related to artificial intelligence, neural networks and their practical use as well as the effective use of modern information technologies. In the years 2001-2013, the administrator of network and information systems, the coordinator for the security of networks and information systems (on behalf of the Rector) at Poznan University of Life Sciences. He also dealt with others designing solutions and administering server, network and access systems for the university.

expandIn 1997 he graduated with honors from Poznan University of Technology, Faculty of Computer Science. He defended his doctorate in the field of “Real Time Systems” in 2000. Member of the Polish Information Technology Society and the American ACM (Association for Computer Machinery, USA). He is an enthusiast of the Business Model Canvas methodology. He was the mentor for startups during “IBM SmartCamp 2014” – IBM Global Entrepreneur program (Warsaw, Poland). His area of ​​interest is wide and includes primarily: Docker microservices, Microsoft.NET, C #, image processing and modern Internet and mobile applications (including IoT and Cloud applications). He participated in the creation of the human eye registration system of the Swedish company Permobil Meditech AB (Sundsvall, Sweden) and the audience viewing system produced by the German company MediaScore GmbH (Cologne, Germany). Currently, he is the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) in the German company Di Support GmbH (Frankfurt, Germany) and the Managing Director in the Polish software branch of this company. He has been working at Collegium da Vinci since 2003. He lectures for students in the field of object-oriented programming. In her free time, she loves to play board games with sons.

  1. You have to show your passport / ID to the coordinator .
  2. A School leaving certificate or relevant document obtained abroad, legalized and/or with an apostille (authentication) attached, which authorizes you to apply for enrolment at a higher learning institution. This must be in line with Polish regulations on the recognition of foreign school certificates.
  3. Documents from the application platform must be printed and signed on each separate page: personal questionnaire, application letter to CDV Rector , contract (2 copies) and attachment to the contract  (2 copies), student oath.
